I wanted to share with you some of the best persuasive techniques that are available to people. Despite what you might think, everyone has some degree of persuasive powers, but some have more than others. Most of us use these techniques in an unconscious manner. There are others that happen to understand how these work and consciously wage a war to persuade you in such a way to do what they want. These types of tactics work because our mind will automatically respond to certain stimuli. Most people don't understand that. Just presenting information to you in a certain way can cause you to feel a certain way. I'm going to teach you a few of these persuasive techniques to help you understand those around you that use it.
You can moderately change someone's greatest values over time by simply taking an inch here and there. The greatest example of this was American soldiers that got caught during the Korean war and ended up in China POW camps. The Chinese had them write essays on their country and write just 1 bad thing about it or 1 good thing about communism. Over time they literally changed the way these soldiers thought. A lot of these POWs remained sympathetic to the Chinese and even become spies. They'd report any fellow soldiers planning to escape. Incrementally taking small positions on people's views and values can change them over time.
Motivational Techniques
Another one of the best persuasive techniques is to demonstrate social proof. We like to think of ourselves as independent creatures that can think for ourselves. You'd think this is true, but the reality is that we're more likely to look at someone we identify with and see what they do. This is a concept known as social proof. It can easily be proven by the fact if you see someone yawn, you'll probably yawn too. If you can demonstrate social proof, than you can easily persaude.
