8 Ways to Motivate Teenagers to Achieve

I think most of parents agree that the cause of their children's underachievement in school is often simply a lack of motivation. What can parents do to motivate their teens? Here are some ideas I want to share with you.

1. Be your teenager's supporter
Teenagers are different with young kids. A teenager wants to be treated like an "adult". I think "respecting your teenager "is the key to build a trust relationship between parents and your teens. Parents should give your teenagers as much support as you can, not control but guide your teens.

Motivate

2. Expose your teenager to various ideas and areas
Sometimes a teenager lacks motivation because he or she hasn't yet been exposed to what might be a life passion. Look for different programs, give your teen a chance to try them, and keep an open mind, to help your teen to find his or her interests and passion.

3. Help your teenager make connection between schoolwork and his interests
Sometimes children lack motivation because they do not see a connection between the work they are being asked to do and their interests and goals. A teenager who wants to be a doctor should know that math and science is important in those jobs. Parents may give examples how these courses help.

4. Teach your teenager responsibility
Parents should try to make your teenager understand that freedom and power brings along some responsibilities. If your teen wants to make his or her decisions, the teen will have to take the responsibility for them.

5. Guide your teenager to find his or her goals
Individuals who have goals are highly motivated because they know what they want and work hard towards the goals. For most of teenagers, they do not know what they want to be yet, they are exploring and trying to find their values and believes and their future paths. They are usually driven by the sheer joy of participating in something they love now, and do not consider them in a long run. Parents should talk to your teens about things they enjoy right now and guide them to find what they believe about their life and set up their goals as soon as they can.

6. Set high expectations
High standards lead to high performance. If parents set clear goals and expectations for their teens and support them to achieve their goals, the teenagers become successful. This success motivates teens to feel fulfillment and do even better.

7. Use short-term goals and rewards
Sometimes a teenager gets overwhelmed by a large task and gives up before he or she even begins. Help your teen separate the task into a series of smaller tasks. Make each small task a goal and try to setting an age-appropriate reward for that goal may help.

8. Help your teenager learn to manage time
When they start school, some children usually had few problems keeping up with school work because they could learn quickly and easily, so they did not get chance to learn to manage their time in order to get work done. After they become teenagers, they face more challenge tasks, they may feel overwhelmed by the work they need to complete and do not know how to set time aside to complete their tasks. Teaching your teenager how to create and use a time-management schedule will be helpful.

These are 8 Ways to motivate teenagers. As parents, we should be good models as well. Think positively, learn and make progress constantly lifelong. Keep ourselves motivated, then we can motivate our children more effectively.

5 Sales Strategies to Improve Sales Effectiveness

Sales and marketing training methods have identified an unlimited amount of sales strategies to improve sales effectiveness. Sales training articles have identified a number of methods to do just this. These five sales strategies will span some of the most essential steps to improving sales effectiveness. Soon you will be able to see success and growth in your sales and business endeavors.

Identify Your Target Customers

\"Motivational Techniques\"

There are few things worse in sales than to be trying to sell something to the wrong person. It can be perfect for someone's needs; however, not everyone will fit into this category. To market and prospect to customers who are not in this category, or do not display a certain need, would drastically undermine the efficiency of your attempts.

Business sales training lessons stress the importance of identifying your market. Identify what your product is about, including who it will most likely assist, what need it remedies, and if it may be marketed out of your region. Use the same approach with any applicable services you are offering.

Sales is as much about knowing your product and who your target customers are than the actual sales process. The two most important categories in this identification process are in the target customer category and in regards to location. However, don't stop there. Sales training articles will inform you of the importance of knowing much deeper specifics regarding your customers. Sales training also stresses how your products and services may interact with potential customers.

Obtain and Follow Through on Leads

If you want to grow your business and sales efforts, you must be able to reach out to obtain a significant number of leads. It has been said that sales is not a numbers game, but a percentage one. Business sales training statistics reveal how effective methods directed at the right market will obtain success. The more leads and potential customers you have, the better your growth potential.

Bookstores, libraries, and the Internet overflow with valuable sales training articles on how to market and obtain leads. Motivational sales training individuals and business also stress various ways to find your potential customer base.

Utilize traditional and online marketing methods to effectively reach your audience. One method may be preferable, most likely based on the location of the product or services you offer. Free methods exist as well; Facebook alone has 350 million active users around the world. Online social communities offer additional opportunities for smart salespeople to find customers.

Take advantage of free and paid opportunities to get your product in the eyes of your market. If applicable, your sales team training force can utilize some of the newer methods at obtaining more potential customers. Regardless of the case, obtain as many leads as possible and follow through on your leads, as seen in couple of examples in subsequent sections within this article.

Use Prime Selling Times

As seen in the previous point, the more customers you contact and are exposed to your products and services, the more likely you will be able to find success and improved effectiveness in your sales endeavors. When using more traditional methods such as telephone calls to certain buyers or clients, there becomes a lack of regards to administrative work and selling times.

Sales Training Consultancy, a sales training institute in the United Kingdom, has recommended a prime selling time. This scheme seeks to combine administrative work by using it at times less convenient for your customers, so that you are more likely to successfully contact your customers:

o 9:00-9:30: Administrative Work
o 9:30-12:00: Prime Selling Time
o 12:00-1:00: Lunch
o 1:00-2:00: Administrative Work
o 2:00-4:30: Prime Selling Time
o 4:30-5:30: Administrative Work

Of course this likely won't be what you will want to model exactly; many businesses and salespeople should mix Internet-based methods as well. However the point is to contact customers when they are more likely to be able to talk. If you are reaching customers at the correct times that are in your target audience, you are setting yourself up for improved sales effectiveness from a crucial point in business sales training.

Master Consultative Selling

Business sales training methods have produced results with consultative selling methods. Consultative selling sells to the customer's needs, by identifying what the customer is looking for and establishing a dialogue. Consultative selling uses motivational sales training methods to provide each customer with a unique and adaptable experience, by providing customized recommendations.

Sales and marketing training experts will tell you that part of consultative selling is based in the actual interaction between the salesperson and customer, beyond that of the actual selling. The key is to build rapport and a positive relationship with the customer. Show enthusiasm, ask questions, and try to develop an understanding of the customer's needs.

The most important step is to offer appropriate solutions for your customer. Utilize your sales team training, if applicable, to present solutions that can make a difference for the customer. Always do your best to provide this level of service to the customer. It will go a long way at building an honest relationship with a customer or business. Even if you can't solve a customer's needs, helping them in any way you can will do a lot for your business or sales objectives. Customers will refer others to businesses with this level of service.

Utilize Current and Potential Customers

Don't forget about your current customers in your sales team training scheme and personal sales initiatives. You may be surprised how current customers can recommend your services or products to other people and businesses they know. A business's sales management consultant could recommend your services to businesses they serve after committed service on your end.

Sales team training methods have proved how current customers can return and additionally bring more potential customers. Potential customers who enjoy your services or products are great for word-of-mouth marketing as well. Provide the same committed services to both sets, and don't be afraid to follow up. Your sales efficiency will rise drastically with quality service and products, and marketing schemes within current customers as well.

Positive Comments that Motivate You More

I've always believed in giving positive feedback whenever someone accomplishes something or performs a job well done. Do you know someone who has a fitness goal? Did they lose weight/pack on muscle and achieve their personal goals successfully?

If yes, then it would be good if you tell that person so! Depending on what they've achieved, tell them that they look good/have lost weight/are looking healthier, etc. We all know it isn't easy to shape up!

Motivate

Even if it may be a stranger at the gym, positive comments always help - it further motivates and reassures that person that what they've been striving for all this while has not gone to waste. Wouldn't you feel good if someone came up to you and said something nice? I know I'm normally on top of the world when someone says something nice about me!

On the other hand, negative comments should be handled more carefully. Only if you know the person really really well enough - only then would it be okay for you to tell them if they look like they've strayed from their fitness goals or else you'll only be asking to be hit on the face.

For a little amusement and reading pleasure, below are some of the comments I've personally received - before (when I used to be in bad shape 6 - 7 years ago) and after (now).

Before

1. Those love handles look awful man

2. What are those??

3. What's happened to you? Why don't you exercise? Look at me, I'm healthy (points to his biceps which I swear resembled ping-pong balls)

4. You better do something about your weight or you'll develop health complications when you're older

5. I can do 5 push-ups - how many can you do?

6. Fatso

7. You look like an overweight girl

After

1. Why did you lose all that weight? (stupid comment coming from the same person who said i needed to lose weight.. what a moron)

2. Hey, which gym do you go to?

3. Mentioned to my mom : Wow, you've got such a handsome son! Heh heh ;)

4. Your arms are huge! (actually they're not la but most people especially the women think so *hint hint*)

5. How much is the cover charge? (Got mistaken for a club bouncer cos I was standing with arms folded at the entrance - but honestly I'm nowhere cllose to being that big)

6. Are you on steroids?

7. Oh God! Why are you boiling so many eggs?

Indeed there's a huge contrast between the two. And now, where I am today, looking back - all I can do is smile at the awful comments I used to get.

And guys... just one more thing about giving comments - the least you can do is be honest about them! Don't tell a girl she's lost weight unless she really has. There are other times and ways to pull-off a corny pick-up line.

Benefits of Employee Motivation

The toughest job of the employer is retaining the employee. With the attrition rate high, employees are job hopping for greener pastures. Most times money is not the criteria, but human beings require positive strokes for functioning. It is very important to touch the areas of personality while selecting an employee. A person with a high educational qualification and seniority in experience expects a lot from the organization. Most employee wish lists fall in the intangible benefits.

Human resource management has to have an absenteeism plan. Job allocation is very important and it is always better to train the employee with two different sets of expertise. In times of absenteeism, the employee can offer to extend his services to proxy the absent person. This again is a critical issue as adequate staffing is necessary so the pressure does not develop on an experienced person.

Motivating

The key to employee motivation lies in recognizing and training a leader. Empowering the individual is important. Rewards and compensatory services for such worth is required to be looked at. Annual increments are based on performance appraisal. Many times it is a rude shock to the employee when the performance appraisal points are not projected as per his expectation. Bridging the gap between employer and employee is vital. The management at regular intervals conduct group discussions and also gently corrects the employee, to avoid uncomfortable issues at the end of the year appraisal.

Seniority has to be regarded and the job profile must include areas that are of capability to the person. At the same time rewarding an employee for his exponential talent or hard work is necessary. Setting up an ideal team and lateral thinking is the main motive of a manager. Failing to not hear an employee grievance or uncomfortable working conditions have a slow but negative impact on the employee morale.

The management on the whole benefits from motivating an employee. Many offices have a gym or an in-house game area to lower the stress of the employee. Bonding in office automatically erases the grapevine gossip and the group on the whole contributes to the profit of the company. Profit again is a ratio which is highly affected by the human resource. Offering educational programmes and upgrading the knowledge level of the employee is enriching which is conducive to the better health of the organization.

Benefits of Employee Motivation

How to motivate a person ha always been a great challenge. Companies conduct mock test [http://www.mocktest.org] and even employee satisfaction survey in order to know the pulse of their employees. Music has always been a motivating factor for most people. So listen to some good hindi, English, Spanish and Japanese songs and motivate the music lovers.

Four Personality Types and the Words That Motivate Them

Before you can learn to persuade, you'll need to understand the psychology of human motivation. What makes a person tick? What makes a person take risks? What makes a person try alternatives? What makes a person want to expand a comfort zone?

Psychologists have identified four distinct personality types: Sanguine, Phlegmatic, Melancholic and Choleric. Everyone leans towards one of these types. If you can learn to understand what excites, motivates, irritates and frustrates these different personality types, you'll be well on your way to helping people to listen to you. So you should probably consider how each personality type reacts to words, and attempt to use words that each type responds to well.

Motivate

Sanguine personalities agree to take action when they believe the action will give them approval, attention, or fun. Choleric personalities agree to take action when they believe the action will help them to achieve their goals, save them time, or give them control over their destiny. Melancholic personalities agree to take action only after they've analyzed all options and observed all data. They like to organize their thoughts, reach obvious conclusions and live an orderly life. And finally, phlegmatic personalities agree to take action only when they believe that the action will benefit those they love, keep people happy, make situations run smoothly and bring harmony into the lives of everyone around them.

Here are a few words that motivate each personality type:

Sanguine

Give these words a try, and you'll be amazed at how effective they are. But be careful, if you use Choleric words on Phlegmatic people, you'll only make them nervous. If you use Sanguine words on Melancholic people, their brains may not compute. If you use Melancholic words on Sanguine people, you'll never keep their attention. And if you try Phlegmatic words on Choleric people, they'll think you're wasting their time. However, if you can learn to speak the languages of the various types correctly, your words will have amazing impact...

Tattoos and Motivation - Why Do People Get Tattoos?

With ink appearing on everyone and anyone it becomes a common question as to why do people get tattoos? What exactly is it that motivates us to modify our bodies and inject ourselves with ink in a rather painful manner? What exactly is it that causes us to approach complete strangers and allow them to permanently place their artwork upon our bodies for life? Of course the reasoning will vary from person to person but here are some of the most common reasons why people get tattoos.

Some get tattoos simply as a form of self expression and the rebellion of society. We get them to show off who we are and what we stand for. We get them to show the world that we are who we are no mater what they think or what they expect from us.

Motivational Techniques

We get our ink to show our affiliations and connections. This doesn't have to be gang related or anything of the sort. For some it is the affiliation to the Marines or something we are very proud to be apart of, others it is simply a sign of their family and who they belong to and love.

Some of us get tattoos simply because it is something we want to do and something we want to endure. Our reasons are as simple as we have gotten our first ink and became addicted. Getting tattooed is an addictive habit. And once addicted and bitten we go back for more ink. And that can be the simple reason behind getting the ink.

Some choose to get their ink to show off what has happened in their lives, to recall everything that has happened in their lives. This is the case of prisoners who have their entires stories tattooed upon their bodies. For those without ink are said to have never lived or existed.

Motivation in the Workplace in 5 Easy Steps

How does management achieve motivation in the workplace in today's society? It is a great question, because a motivational workplace is a successful one. Without motivation the end result is poor quality in the workplace.

Some issues to consider when achieving motivation in the workplace are listed below. Every workplace has different situations. Not all rules will apply for unrelated settings. The corporate office will have different factors to consider than a factory, or a construction site. They are all going to be a little different.

Motivational Techniques

The one thing that will remain the same is human nature, and how we react to different situations. Here are five common factors you can manage:

1. Different types of personalities

This is one of the biggest issues to consider. One thing that needs to be considered is that people are all different. We all have different personality traits and quirks.

We are all not going to get along well every day, stuck in an office, kitchen, truck or factory together. It just isn't possible. It is not the way we are made. What one person may think of as constructive criticism, another may find as being bossy.

One person may think that they are being productive and the person next to them may think they are being lazy. It is just the way people think differently. Management's job is to see that the job is completed, through the employee.

To do this, they must be able to understand the differences in people and learn how to deal with these issues. They need to learn to be diplomatic in these situations and keep everyone running smoothly.

2. Rewards

The key to motivation is goals. So if motivation in the workplace is desired, then rewards for the employees are a must. They need to be motivated into doing a great job.

Whether it be promotions, bonuses or just simple words of affirmation, they deserve that for a job well done.

3. Working environment

The workplace needs to be a fun and enjoyable place. A person spends 7-10 hours on the average per day at this place. If it isn't a fun, and comfortable place to be, then workplace motivation can't be achieved.

People can work, socialize and laugh at the same time! It can be done.

4. Independency

Employees need to be able to think on their own. No one wants to be told what to do and when and how to do it every minute of the day. The employee needs to know what the expectations are and be allowed to do it.

They will take pride in it if it is their idea and their way of doing things. There is usually more than one way to accomplish the same thing.

5. Room for error

So many times in the workplace management does not plan for errors. Then when they happen, no one knows what to do to correct them. It is management's job to make a plan B just in case something goes wrong. And it does!

Motivation in the workplace takes time and patience as the manager or boss. With these simple tips, it can be achieved and a more productive workplace can be found.

Motivation Theory

The word motivation is coined from the Latin word "movere", which means to move. Motivation is defined as an internal drive that activates behavior and gives it direction. The term motivation theory is concerned with the processes that describe why and how human behavior is activated and directed. It is regarded as one of the most important areas of study in the field of organizational behavior. There are two different categories of motivation theories such as content theories, and process theories. Even though there are different motivation theories, none of them are universally accepted.

Also known as need theory, the content theory of motivation mainly focuses on the internal factors that energize and direct human behavior. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Alderfer's ERG theory, Herzeberg's motivator-hygiene theory (Herzeberg's dual factors theory), and McClelland's learned needs or three-needs theory are some of the major content theories.

Motivational Techniques

Of the different types of content theories, the most famous content theory is Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of human needs. Maslow introduced five levels of basic needs through his theory. Basic needs are categorized as physiological needs, safety and security needs, needs of love, needs for self esteem and needs for self-actualization.

Just like Maslow's hierarchy of needs, ERG theory explains existence, relatedness, and growth needs. Through dual factors theory, Herzeberg describes certain factors in the workplace which result in job satisfaction. McClelland's learned needs or three-needs theory uses a projective technique called the Thematic Aptitude Test (TAT) so as to evaluate people based on three needs: power, achievement, and affiliation. People with high need of power take action in a way that influences the other's behavior.

Another type of motivation theory is process theory. Process theories of motivation provide an opportunity to understand thought processes that influence behavior. The major process theories of motivation include Adams' equity theory, Vroom's expectancy theory, goal-setting theory, and reinforcement theory. Expectancy, instrumentality, and valence are the key concepts explained in the expectancy theory. Goal setting theory suggests that the individuals are motivated to reach set goals. It also requires that the set goals should be specific. Reinforcement theory is concerned with controlling behavior by manipulating its consequences.

Employee Motivation - 10 Tips to Boost Job Performance

Increase Employee Performance by Harnessing the Power of Motivation

Employee motivation and productivity can be enhanced and improved by creating a work environment that maximizes the factors that affect performance. These factors are simple to understand, easy to measure, and can add tremendous value to any organization that is willing to implement them. Use these 10 tips to make sure that your employees are energized and inspired to produce the best results possible.

Motivational Techniques

1. Interesting Work

Intrinsic motivation comes from the shear joy and pleasure of doing a task. When you read a great book, no one has to pay for each page you read. It is a pleasure to learn how the story unfolds and watch the plot develop. It is the same way with employee motivation. To maximize employee performance, find out what employees like about their jobs and then try to add more tasks that align with their own natural interests and talents.

2. Appreciation & Recognition

William James said, "The deepest desire in human nature is to be appreciated." It does not matter how much you pay someone, everyone want to know that their efforts are being seen and appreciated, especially by their manager. Don't just send them a thank you e-mail - that just means you care enough to hit the "Enter" key. If you really want to thank someone buy them a real "Thank You" card and describe how their behavior and performance has added value to the team and organization. Make it a point to catch people doing things right and they will inevitably do things right more often.

3. Feeling Involved In the Work Process

Research shows that when people get to participate in creating a system or process, they are much more likely to follow it than one simply imposed upon them by an outside expert. Recognize that the people doing the job have the knowledge of how things can be done better, faster, and cheaper. If you want them to tell you, then make it easy for them to offer suggestions and reward employees who contribute ideas that add value to the bottom line.

4. Achievement

Napoleon once remarked, "It is amazing how willing men are to risk their lives for a little bit of tin and ribbon to wear upon their chest." Awards and prizes can serve as a great motivator to harness the power of healthy competition. It is always better to use rewards that are meaningful and inspiring. When an employee exceeds your expectations, then make sure you recognize their achievement. On the day someone retires, they will pack up these awards and prizes to serve as fond reminders of a wonderful career.

5. Job Security

If everybody had what it takes to be an entrepreneur, then there would be no General Electric or Toyota and we would all be buying products from artisans and craftworkers. Thankfully, many people prefer to be part of a large organization and can be more productive when they get to focus on doing their job instead of worrying about developing a business plan or marketing strategy. Telling people that they are lucky to have a job creates an atmosphere of fear and worry that decreases job performance. Instead, tell your employees that the company is lucky to have such a skilled and committed workforce and people will take pride in their work and their company.

6. Increased Responsibility

We all know that some employees lack ambition and have no desire to advance on the job, but the vast majority of workers want a chance to take on more responsibility and add more value to the organization. Always be aware of opportunities for training that will equip your employees with the skills and tools they will need to advance in their career. Always try to fill open positions with internal applicants before looking for an outside candidate. This will create a culture of career development and preserve institutional memory and organizational knowledge so that it can be transferred to rising employees as they advance in their own career.

7. Good Wages

Robert Bosch, founder of the world's largest automobile parts supplier, said, "I do not pay good wages because I have a lot of money; I have a lot of money because I pay good wages." If you want motivated, high productive employees you have to pay such people according to their ability and performance. Good employees are motivated by more than just good wages, but never allow low wages to be the wedge a competitor can use to steal away your best people.

8. Good Working Conditions

If you want to get the most out of people you need to create an environment that facilitates success. At the minimum, you must offer a safe, clean, and sanitary work site. To get the most out of employees, help them take pride in their workspace, even if it is only a cubicle or workstation. Allow people to personalize their own work sites with photos or small trinkets so they will feel like they have a place that belongs solely to them.

9. Being Part of a Team

Being part of a dysfunctional team is an emotionally draining experience that results in low morale, low productivity, and high turnover. The great coach, Vince Lombardi, once remarked, "Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." We are all social beings and we all want to be part of a healthy team where we can give and receive support, help, and encouragement. Organizations can harness this natural human desire by aligning employee efforts to achieve goals that are mutually beneficial to both the organization and its employees.

Unfortunately, they probably left their motivation and productivity at the door as well. Smart managers know that it is not their job to be a counselor or therapist, but it is there job to recognize when one of their employees is having personal problems that are affecting their job performance. They need to have open lines of honest communication so that employees can feel encouraged to ask for help and then be directed to their Human Resources Department or their Employee Assistance Programs.

What Is Motivation

Motivation is the characteristic that is required in order to achieve anything in life; without it you will give up at the first sign of adversity. It means to inspire, instigate and encourage a person to do their best. Motivation will compel a person to think "If I can't, then I must" and will cause them to do whatever it takes to become successful. If you inspire motivation it can change your life. You will be inspired to get what you want regardless of what people tell you that you can not do. I have personally seen people apply the motivation factors in life to get from poverty to a life filled with abundance.

Do you think you possess the quality? Only you can answer this question. Take a honest look at yourself; do you find yourself pursuing your goals everyday? Are you doing something to work towards them regardless of what is going on in your life? If you are then you; then my friend you do possess this characteristic and you will reach all your goals. I wake up at 5:00 in the morning to get started on my goals. I am passionate about reaching all my goals. Do you find yourself doing this or are you making excuses of why you can not work on a goal?

This is a strong quality for anyone to possess; and you can only possess it when you set a burning desire to be do have something in life. No one can give it to you. It can change a persons life in many ways. It can change the way you think, and when you become involved with personal development and become a much more positive individual motivation will get you out of your negative environment.

It is the fuel that inspires us to reach our goals and achieve what we truly desire. It also allows us to keep getting up and moving forward when we get knocked down. Getting motivated and staying motivated gives us the energy we require to reach our goals in the shortest amount of time possible. It is required to meet our goals and do anything purposeful in life. Without it you will not want to get out of bed, clean the house, walk the dogs or do anything at all. Being successful in life and motivation go hand in hand. When you learn how to achieve motivation for something you truly desire; nothing can stop you from having it. So think about it; what truly motivates you then take action towards it and watch it become your reality.

Motivation Letter For Work Abroad

If you are applying for a job abroad (particularly in Europe or South America), a Motivation Letter For Work Abroad takes the place of a Cover Letter. Both resumes and Motivation Letters are much less formal than their United States equivalents. The Motivation Letter, as its name implies, tells your prospective employers why you are motivated to work for their companies. It gives you a chance to describe your personality, the languages you speak, any awards you may have won, and what motivates you to work abroad.

The Motivation Letter is constructed like a formal business letter, with your name and address in the top right corner. Beneath this and against the left margin should be the name, job title, company and address of the recipient. (It is worth doing a little digging to find out the name, if you don't know it.) European countries don't put a period after title abbreviations, so remember to leave them off ; i.e., "Mr" instead of "Mr." and "Dr" rather than "Dr.". Spell out the name of the month and use the order "day-month-year."

Motivational Techniques

The first paragraph of your Motivation Letter describes the job for which you are applying, and how you learned about it. The second paragraph should address your qualifications for the job; don't just list them, talk about them. Show yourself to be a person of initiative and creativity ; in short, motivated! In the third paragraph, talk about why you want this particular job. What skills do you bring to it? What do you hope to learn? Finally, in the fourth paragraph give your contact information and times you are available for interview.

If you used the recipient's name, close "Yours sincerely;" if you used "Dear Sir or Madam," close "Yours faithfully." Type your name four spaces down and two spaces under that, against the left margin, type "Enclosure." Sign your name in the space above your typed name, attach a resume to your Motivation Letter For Work Abroad, and you've done it!

In other words, motivation is a kind of internal energy which drives a person to do something in order to achieve something. It is a temporal or dynamic state within a person which is not concerned with his/her personality. There are different types of motivation such as achievement motivation, affiliation motivation, competence motivation, power motivation, and attitude motivation.

Motivation is based on three specific aspects such as the arousal of behavior, the direction of behavior, and persistence of behavior. Arousal of behavior involves what activates human behavior and direction of behavior is concerned with what directs behavior towards a specific goal. Persistence of behavior is concerned with how the behavior is sustained.

Motivational Techniques

Various studies have been conducted to understand the different motives that drive a person to success. Motives are categorized into three: homeostatic motives, nonhomeostatic motives, and learned or social motives. Almost all the motives belong to one or more of these three groups.

Motives such as thirst, hunger, respiration, and excretion are included in homeostatic motives. Nonhomeostatic motives include required activities such as seeking shelter and curiosity about the environment. Curiosity, a desire for novelty, power, achievement, social affiliation, and approval are considered as learned motives or social motives.

Motivation is essential to be successful in any endeavor you undertake. It can be positive or negative, subtle or obvious, tangible or intangible. It is very important in workplaces as it plays a key role in the effective performance of employees. In industry, managers play a significant role in employee motivation. They use different motivation techniques to improve productivity, thereby promoting cooperation between employees and employers.

Learning is somewhat interrelated to motivation. In education, instructors also use motivation techniques in order to motivate the students to learn. It is essential to increase student motivation as it can make a student more competent. Also, motivation encourages self confidence and problem-solving skills.
